Where is Firebreak Farm?

Firebreak Farm is located in the Neumgna district at the foothills of the Bunya Mountains, QLD. Our land is located on Wakka Wakka country and as the current custodians, we pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land in which we have the privilege of caring for.

What is regenerative farming?

Regenerative farming is an approach that focuses on restoring and improving the health of the land. At Firebreak Farm, we employ practices like rotational grazing, cover cropping, and minimal tillage to enhance biodiversity and soil health.

What kind of produce does Firebreak Farm offer?

Firebreak Farm provides a range of pasture-raised meats, including lamb, pork, and beef. Our lamb and beef is 100% grass-fed and finished, with no use of chemicals, hormones or antibiotics. Our pork is raised entirely on pasture and rotated to new paddocks regularly – due to the fact that pigs are omnivores, they receive a ration to supplement their diets.

How are animals treated at Firebreak Farm?

Our commitment to ethical animal husbandry is paramount. Livestock at Firebreak Farm are raised in natural environments, engage in natural behaviours, and are treated with care and respect throughout their lives.

Is Firebreak Farm certified organic?

While we do adhere to many of the organic farming methods, we are not currently certified organic. We believe in transparency and are open about our farming practices, we always welcome any questions you may have.

We currently do not have any plans to undergo organic certification, our focus is on regenerative agriculture which ultimately aims to go beyond the organic requirements.
